Fraud in Metaphysical Circles

As a person of heart and service I am always willing to to examine the truth of my work and the ripple it many have on others. I recently became aware of some very negative comments around the imitation of copying native ways. I never claim to be Native American or to know their ways. My body of work is one that comes from a direct relationship with Spirit. I have learned how to listen and receive messages from a place deep within. Through a understanding of being in the flow and the timing of synchronistic events I was instructed to create a Medicine Wheel. This a place where people come and build their own bridge connecting heaven and earth. My Medicine Wheel is a sacred space a place created for people to come for transformation, well being, and for the healing of our Mother Earth. Ceremonial space is very important to people for connecting with the rhythms and cycles of nature, for prayer and life celebrations. There are circles of stones all around the world from many cultures and traditions.

My Medicine Wheel was created in tandem with spirit through purity, innocence and passion. In the ten years I have been the keeper of this Medicine Wheel many people have come to experience the ceremonies and personal healing. Many people have come from all over the world bestowing their gifts of stones and crystals for this space. This Medicine Wheel has grown into something much larger than I could have ever conceived on my own.

I recently had a visit with the Chief of the Lakota Nation, Chief Golden Eagle and Spotted Eagle Man, they came to my home and visited my Medicine Wheel. They said they were pleased I had my own interpretation or signature of energy called a Medicine Wheel. They gave a blessing to the stone people saying it was for my love of the stone people. They saw and felt the vibration of this sacred space and all was done in a good way. This was a very special day for me having Native Americans recognize the value of creating new portals of energy on our Mother earth.

Creating a Medicine Wheel and being keeper of a Medicine Wheel is a calling. This is not the type of calling where one is better than another, or is it the taking away of ones tradition that one perceives is rightful theirs and only theirs, but a universal language for all. No one tribe can have a corner on the Tree people, Stone people, animal spirits and such, or the elements... the language of the Earth is available for all of those who listen.

Now is the time to share what we know with others. To empower one another and grow into all we can be in this lifetime. I have had several Native American teachers and one known as William Two Feathers. One small thing he taught me was about how the Turkey drags its feathers along the ground connecting and gathering the energy of the Earth. He called the Turkey an Earth Eagle. In return I have shared that bit of knowledge with others.

Perception is the right of an individual but it is also a great distorter of the truth. Perhaps if we could listen with our hearts rather than our heads we could celebrate each others otherness with respect, tolerance and a compassionate heart.

In my tradition we look forward to the day when the Eagle meets the Condor and we see each other God eyes to God eyes.

Shamanic Healing and Energy Work

Shamanic Healing or Energy Work can accomplish more in an hour than years of talk therapy. When Oprah asked Dr. Mehmet Oz, “What is the future of medicine?” he replied without hesitation, “Energy Medicine.”

As a shamanic practitioner I work with what is know as the Luminous Energy Field. Our physical bodies are surrounded by an invisible matrix that holds the imprint of all our karmic, personal and ancestral memories. These imprints can become activated to mirror a personal history that repeats itself by compelling us toward behaviors, relationships, accidents or illness that replicates the original trauma. I use the energy healing technique known as Illumination to clear the negative imprints in our luminous field. There are many common physical, mental and emotional challenges that can be helped by removing the energy which surround and cause the challenges by tracking and then removing the energy. Imprints appear in the luminous energy field as sluggish energy around the chakras. During a healing session the heavy energy of the imprint is drained through the chakra then the imprint itself is erased through the use of focused intention and breath. When the imprint is erased you are no longer informed by the wounds of your pass or ancestry.

You feel stuck in a behavioral pattern that continues to repeat itself.
You are struggling to heal from traits (health & emotional) that are part of your ancestry.
Emotional traumas of your past continue to haunt you and do not respond to other healing modalities.

THE GOLDEN RULE

Recently my most beloved friend asked what I thought would be important for our daughters to know if we were not around to teach them. I thought about this and realized that two words summed up a lot of what I thought was important. Those two words are tolerance and compassion. I do believe the combination and scope of these acts equals love. Knowing and practicing tolerance encompasses just about every thread of life; and could be used to weave a beautiful rich tapestry for life. Compassion is to see with heart, or to see with feeling. Just think what the world would be like if everyone practiced these acts of Love.

I also thought about a very simple truth known as The Golden Rule. This is one common thread that links us all together. Perhaps if we all used it we could achieve what everyone wants - peace, food, clean water, shelter, safety, community, and love; by using the Golden Rule. Its seems to me that one of the fundamental reasons that humanity continues to be divided is because of religious beliefs and ethnicity. Most of our differences are based on skin color and the exclusive status rooted in that they were chosen by God, or their way is the only way. I read something that rang true for me “It’s not that we believe dogmatically that is important, but how we behave towards each other and all sentient life.”
Even though we may all have a different version of God there is one thread that is woven into the core of all spiritual practices – the Golden Rule. Together this is the place where all paths come together to bridge our collective knowingness and link us as One joining our heaven and earth.

Medicine Tools & Sacred Ceremonial Medicine Tools

What is a medicine tool?
Let’s first be clear that the word medicine in shamanic cosmology refers to our personal power not a substance to restore health.
A medicine tool can be any object that is special and has significance to you. They act as a catalyst connecting you with the energies of all creation.
The most desirable objects we use for medicine tools are gathered from Nature. Feathers, stones, bones, sticks, shells, and such are all recognized as potent allies that a Medicine Person or Shaman can utilize. Everything is energy and carries its own energetic vibration. Each medicine tool will resonate with its own intended purpose depending on what it was created for and the elements contained within it. The Shaman can utilize this to synchronize their energy with that of a medicine tool. In this way a feather can assist a shaman to fly on a journey, a stone or crystal can give you access to the wisdom of the Earth, a wand or staff cut from a fallen branch of a tree will connect you will the properties of that tree.
Other medicine tools are those that are handmade for a specific purpose. The most recognized and universal are the drum and rattle used by Shaman from many traditions and cultures to aid in journeying and trance work.

When we set out to accomplish a quest or to assist others on their paths it is very helpful to have tools that guide and support us. Medicine tools can be used for energy balancing, dream work, healing, journeying and trance work, ceremonial circles, connecting with your animal totems. They can receive energy, direct and channel energy. They can simply be objects of beauty and creation.

Like all medicine objects they are power tools that help you connect with the work spirit intended you to do. When we work with medicine tools they become imbued with our prayers and intentions and become very sacred and powerful to us.
Medicine tools are all gifts from the Great Spirit.

Sedona Sacred Sites with Stephanie Phelps

SEDONA SACRED SITES WITH STEPHANIE PHELPS
I invite you to join me for a day of self discovery, ancient cultures and earth wisdom. I will lead you on a magical journey filled with breathtaking scenery and the majestic red rocks of Sedona.
We will begin our pilgrimage with opening sacred space and setting our intentions within a stone and crystal Medicine Wheel, set in the desert landscape.
Our first stop will be what is known as the birthplace of the Apache. We will walk the path of the ancients to discover the sacred pool still used today for ceremonies and initiations by the natives.
Our travels will take us deep into the canyons of Sedona to discover one of the largest panels of rock art including pictograms from several different native cultures. I will share information regarding that site that has been orally handed down to me from a Medicine Woman.
We will conclude our journey at Cathedral Rock, a vortex site on the waters of Oak Creek. This is a very healing vortex, resonates to the feminine, and the only magnetic vortex in Sedona. We will have circle here taking time to meditate and reflect. Perhaps pipe ceremony or a drumming journey. This is an excellent site for receiving signs and gifts from Spirit.
We will weave into our traveling time a little retail therapy, shopping with the Native Americans at Oak Creek and my favorite Crystal Magic.
The only requirement is you come with an open heart and mind to let the magic of the day unfold allowing for Spirit to guide us on our journey.

GRANDFATHER MARTIN SHARES HOPI PROPHESIES WITH STEPHANIE PHELPS

Hopi Prophesies and Grandfather Martin with Stephanie Phelps

I had the great honor of meeting and talking with Grandfather Martin Gashweseoma. Grandfather Martin is a traditional Hopi Elder and Guardian of the Sacred Stone Tablets of the Fire Clan. He lives and breathes the traditional spiritual ways of his Hopi people on a land known as the “Heart” of Turtle Island (the U.S.) The Hopi people that live on third mesa live as their ancestors have lived, and that is in humble simplicity without running water and electricity. On the mesas of Hopi land each Hopi clan perpetuates a unique ceremony, and the ceremonies together maintain the balance of natural forces of sunlight, rain and winds, and reaffirm the Hopi respect for all life and trust in the Great Spirit.

Hopi Elders pass warnings and prophecies from generation to generation through oral traditions and reference to ancient rock pictographs and tablets, and they keep track of those that have been fulfilled. Grandfather Martin Gashweseoma keeper of the stone tablets shares that we are now nearing the end of the great cycle, as foretold in the Hopi Prophecy. The Hopi prophecies are probably the most famous, as they talk about the "Age of Purification and the emergence of the rainbow family " when the Blue Star Kachina makes its appearance in the heavens, the Fifth World will emerge. This will be the Day of Purification. The Hopi prophesies are well known for their accuracy and they are shared and known and not kept hidden or secret. Grandfather Martin also shared with me that the Tibetan Buddhists also have a similar prophecy, which was discussed when the Dali Lama met with the Hopi Elders a few years ago.

Rather than talk about the prophecies, you can find everything you want to know about them on the internet, I want to share with you what I feel is important for these times. We know the difference between information and knowledge. You have all the information you need, now is the time to develop your intuition and go within to find your wisdom. Trust in yourself and in that knowingness, God speaks to us from that place. Take the time to listen to the stilliness within and you will find your place of power. Heal your past so you can move forward to your destiny and see your infinite nature where death does not live and all is possible.
It is important to be very connected to the Earth, and through this connection you will always be able to find your center in the storm. Dream your world into being, see and feel our planet as healthy, one with peace and non-violence, clean water, and food that is not contaminated. Envision the world you want to live in today. The perfect mirror of love and intent is reflected in our life all around us. It is your thought that creates your today.

Remember that your heart is connected with the heart center of the universe, the Great Spirit, and this is the most powerful place to operate from. I think and feel from my heart and it serves me well. What I have shared with you allows me to find my place of power in the misdts of chaos.
